Copper Phosphorous Alloys
Our Copper–Phosphorus Brazing Alloys are designed for efficient, self-fluxing performance on copper and copper-based metals. Known for their excellent flow, ductility, and corrosion resistance, these alloys provide cost-effective, high-strength joints across multiple industrial applications.
Our Expertise
Rods
High-quality Copper–Phosphorus rods suitable for torch and induction brazing of copper joints. They offer smooth capillary flow, strong bonding, and minimal fuming — ideal for HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing use.
Coated Rods
Pre-fluxed rods simplify brazing by removing the need for separate flux application when joining copper to brass or bronze. They ensure uniform melting, reduced oxidation, and faster operation in field and production environments.
Wires
Copper–Phosphorus wires ensure accurate filler control and clean, strong joints. They are available in standard diameters for manual and automated brazing lines, offering smooth flow with minimal spatter.
Strips
Copper–Phosphorus strips are produced with precise thickness and uniform composition for continuous or machine-fed brazing systems, ensuring process consistency and productivity.
Powders & Pastes
Fine powders and formulated pastes provide repeatable alloy ratios and application control for specialized and automated brazing. They deliver excellent joint filling and minimal residue on copper and brass substrates.
Rings
Pre-formed Copper–Phosphorus rings deliver exact filler metal quantities per joint, improving process reliability and reducing waste — ideal for repetitive, high-volume applications.
Preforms (From Wire and Strip)
Custom preforms made from wire or strip are available for use in automated brazing. They offer precision, consistency, and high repeatability across all production batches.
Copper Brazing Alloy Types
Standard Copper–Phosphorus Alloys (Cu–P)
Economical, self-fluxing alloys for copper-to-copper joints. They provide excellent capillary action and strong, leak-proof bonds without the need for external flux.
Silver-Containing Copper–Phosphorus (Ag–Cu–P)
With small additions of silver, these alloys enhance ductility, flow, and joint strength, suitable for copper-to-brass and copper-to-bronze applications.
High-Phosphorus Alloys
Optimized for low-temperature brazing and smooth flow, offering improved wetting and capillary penetration in tight joints.
Low-Phosphorus Alloys
Higher melting range, better mechanical properties, and enhanced vibration resistance — ideal for high-pressure copper systems.
Special Applications
Formulated for automated brazing, refrigeration coils, and air-conditioning units, where consistent results and smooth joint appearance are critical.
